Gone are the days of the Mimosa and Champagne cocktails. Nowadays consumers and guests are looking for fresh and fruity stuff. Edinburgh Gin has introduced some very exciting range of liqueurs, made up from fresh ingredients and a perfect combination of flavours.

These are the perfect mix for the new-age sparkling wine cocktails. The flavours include raspberry, pomegranate and rose, apple and spice, rhubarb and ginger, elderflower mixed with a sparkling wine and a fresh fruit added to it. Some of my favourites are:

Raspberry Fizz

Celebrate in style with blushing bubbles, made with a dash of luxurious raspberry liqueur.

Ingredients

30 ml Edinburgh Gin’s Raspberry Liqueur

100 ml sparkling wine

Fresh raspberry or strawberry for garnish

Method

Pour chilled sparkling wine in a champagne flute

Add Edinburgh Gin’s Raspberry Liqueur on top

Let the flavours mingle with the effervescence

Drop freshly chopped raspberries or strawberries into the glass.

Apple & Spice Fizz

A crisp and sweet fizz with a lingering spice to finish.

Ingredients

30 ml EG Apple & Spice Liqueur

100 ml sparkling wine

Fresh green apples and star anise to garnish

Method

Pour chilled sparkling wine in a champagne flute

Add Edinburgh Gin’s Apple & Spice Liqueur on top

Let the flavours mingle with the effervescence

Drop freshly chopped green apples and a star anise into the glass.

Pomegranate & Rose Fizz

A heady combination of damask rose and juicy pomegranate, mingling with tangy lemon and sweet pistachios for a sweet taste of the Orient.

Ingredients

30 ml Edinburgh Gin’s Pomegranate & Rose Liqueur

100 ml sparkling wine

Fresh pomegranate seeds to garnish

Method

Pour chilled sparkling wine in a champagne flute

Add Edinburgh Gin’s Pomegranate & Rose Liqueur on top

Let the flavours mingle with the effervescence

Drop freshly plucked pomegranate arils into the glass.
