Living Liquidz, among the largest chain of alcohol retail stores across India, has launched a range of wines under its Amaris brand, available for now at its Mansionz lifestyle outlet in Mumbai.

The Amaris Cabernet Sauvignon (12.5% ABV) from Fratelli Vineyards in Akluj (Maharashtra), has bright and fresh spice cherry aroma, is finely structured, with a good acid backbone and a dusty finish (Rs 1,450 for 750-ml bottle).

The Amaris Chardonnay (14% ABV), also from Fratelli Vineyards, has delicious stone fruit floral aromas interplaying with creamy, buttery oak highlights. The palate shows good depth of flavor with vibrant acidity and textured finish (Rs 1,290).

Amaris Pinot Grigio (12% ABV) comes from Puglia (Italy) with white peach and flinty earthiness greeting the nose. The palate is juicy and delicious with a crisp, fresh finish that entices the second sip (Rs 2,100).

Amaris Merlot (12% ABV), from Azienda Vinicola Castello di Lozzolo, Veneto (Italy), has stewed red fruit with a touch of Mediterranean spice on the nose. Moorish red forest fruit flavours greet the palate.The wine is medium-bodied with a soft palatable finish (Rs 2,100).

Amaris Pinot Noir (12% ABV) comes from Schmitt Soehne, Rheinhessen (Germany). It is a beautifully elegant, fruit-forward wine which shows the classic hallmark of well-made Pinot. A vibrant acid backbone adds to the pleasantly dry finish (Rs 2,100).

Amaris Syrah (14% ABV), from Vintage Wines in Nashik, has afabulous summer fruit nose with subtle peppery spice. The palate is delicious with this well-made, well-structured Shiraz from a very good Indian vintage (Rs 1,290).
