Craft brews shipped from Scotland

Craft brews shipped from Scotland The Mid-Town outlet shares BrewDog’s design aesthetic, combining the iconic neon lights and signature graffiti with exposed brick and an industrial edge.

The BrewDog story started with two beer fanatics in 2007 operating from a small garage set-up in Ellon, Scotland. Today it is the number 1 craft beer brand in the world, with more than 100 bars across the globe bringing top-quality craft beer to beer lovers.

With their undying passion to revolutionise craft beer culture, the founders of BrewDog, James Watt and Martin Dickie, along with India’s Aloha Group, opened its first taproom in India in Kamala Mills, Mumbai.

The Aloha Group, under the aegis of its Chairman, Rohit Jain, and CEO, Karan Jain, has taken the onus of bringing a craft beer revolution in the country.

With 22 taps, BrewDog Mid-Town Mumbai features the brand’s signature beer list, covering the brewery’s core range, as well as “guest beers” from India and further afar.

The classic star of the show, Punk IPA, marks its presence along with crisp, refreshing lagers like the unfiltered Rustic Lager and the dry-hopped Pilsner Lost Lager. Brewed with over 10 different types of malt and blended together with heather honey, the Scotch-style ale Dogma captures the brand’s Scottish heritage.

The tap list also showcases several IPAs with distinctive appeal. For the adventurous, the Jagged Edge boasts of a clawing bitterness while showcasing some of the world’s premium hops. If you’re looking for a smooth juicy hit, there’s Hazy Jane and for low amplitude, high voltage hit, the Dead Pony Club offers strong flavours with spicy floral undertones.

Another hit, the Vagabond, is a gluten-free pale ale brewed with 100% malted barley, creating an inimitable harmony of tropical fruit flavours with a light caramel malt base. For the dark beer fans, you can sip on Bounty Hunter, a milk stout with an intense roastiness and delicate hints of coconut and caramel.

The beer selection at the outlet changes as per demand. The beers are currently shipped from the master brewery in Ellon by a cold chain supply – that is why the beer is fresh and chilled for the beer lovers.

If you want to enjoy some BrewDog in the comfort of your home, they have 1-litre growlers with a special filling machine in each outlet. Along with the BrewDog’s headliners, they keep rotating the beers available for takeaway (Mumbai only). You can opt for delivery or collection via the BrewDog Now app.

In October last BrewDog held a Collabfest for 10 days, which poured some special brews from brands such as Bombay Duck Brewing, 2 Down Beer Co., Brew Whale, Great State Ale, Toit, Drifters and Foo. As a brand, BrewDog supports all things craft and believes in standing strong with the craft beer community around the globe.

With their flagship outlet opening in Bandra in the near future, beer enthusiasts will have two outlets in Mumbai to choose from. Something exciting just around the corner is a state-of-the-art brewery in Nashik. Until now the hub of wine brands, Nashik will soon be converted into all things craft with the BrewDog brewery supplying beer to all BrewDog outlets in the country.

The Mid-Town outlet shares BrewDog’s classic design aesthetic, combining the iconic neon lights and signature graffiti with exposed brick and an industrial edge. To make your experience more exciting they run a few fun evenings and offers, among them:

  • Mind Games (Tuesday) is the pub quiz;
