The already pulsating locality of Bengaluru, Indiranagar got itself another culinary landmark, serving regional Indian plates and craft cocktails in its most rustic, nostalgic and idyllic state.

Idylll, the bar and restaurant, celebrates the rich tapestry of Indian culinary heritage, offering a menu that is a homage to the traditional dishes found in Indian households, expertly elevated to deliver an unforgettable dining and drinking experience.

Led by corporate and head chefs, every member of the Idylll culinary team has contributed their childhood favourites, infusing each dish with personal memories and culinary expertise.

The Idylll experience features finer attention to detail from earthy aroma, fermentation inspired menu, live cooking and fusion entertainment, to signature drinks, dips and dishes, and fun activity for the kids – making Idylll an all-inclusive space.

Raw to exquisite

The five circles in its logo resemble the rings of a tree trunk, symbolising Idylll’s commitment to tradition through food and beverages. The transition from the outermost to the innermost ring signifies the journey from raw, traditional roots to the exquisite dining experience at IdyllI.

Much like the lazy ageing process of a tea trunk, the culinary creations are not rushed, allowing the flavours to develop and mature while creating dishes that are layered with complexity and nuance. exquisite. 

Paying homage to the celebratory structures in Jaipur, the space designed by Purple Ink Studio is enshrouded in a semi-transparent layer, subtly reflecting the vibrant hues and intricate details of the city’s heritage. The monolithic monotone walls are planned to be the main protagonist.

The subdued colour palette allows the focus to remain on the artistry of the cocktails and cuisine. The textures are further enhanced by wall frescoes and art adding a window into the cultural narrative. From the tang of hand-crafted pickles to the complexity of kombuchas and drinks, every offering at Idylll speaks temptingly to the food seeker.

Jai Sharma, Managing Director at Envelop and co-founder of Idylll, feels that the most fascinating challenge was bringing to life Idylll as a space that puts a light on Indian cuisine in a very different angle.

Idylll co-founder, Namokar Jain, says that after successfully running multiple restaurants and lounges in Jaipur, Bengaluru felt like a great opportunity because of its interesting demographic.

Exotic craft

Complementing the dining experience are the meticulously crafted cocktails, designed to elevate the senses and reflect the world-class standards of mixology. From indigenous ingredients that are foraged from the smallest of towns to techniques that are solely studied in books, the cocktail programme at Idylll will reimagine what you know of Indian mixology.

An open circular island bar, washed in softly textured hues, is at the epicentre of it all, as mixology and craft cocktails are brought to the forefront. The whiff of freshly stirred cocktails with regional Indian ingredients at the helm, the music, the lights, the coolness of marble and stone promises a truly indulgent and satiating evening. Kashmiri Old Fashioned

Under the sapphire skies of Kashmir, Idylll’s dedicated mixologist artfully blends the essence of the Valley into every drop of this drink. Infused with roasted raisin-infused bourbon and enriched with spiced demerara almond syrup, each sip captures the bold and nutty flavours reminiscent of this breathtaking region.

Inspired by the tranquil beauty of Dal Lake at sunset, this cocktail embodies the warmth of Kashmiri hospitality and the rich heritage of its spices. It is a bold and spirit-forward drink, with bitter undertones and a nutty richness.

 

Amla Picante

Inspired by the vibrant streets of Rajasthan, this cocktail combines the bold flavours of Tequila with our in-house amla murabba shrubs. The tantalizing blend of elderflower, cilantro, and Mathaniya chili brings a zesty and refreshing twist.

Sak’kat Rasam

Inspired by Awadhi cuisine, this cocktail features tandoor-roasted spiced guava rasa blended with vodka. The rich, smoky flavours, complemented by fresh coriander and citrus, are elevated with a tangy basil foam.

Each sip evokes the vibrant, aromatic traditions of Awadhi culinary artistry. The experience is a unique blend of tangy, spicy and earthy notes in every glass.
