Stilldistilling Spirits, the creators of Maka Zai rum, has launched a limited-release barrel-aged rare rum, Mesma, short for ‘mesmerising’. This launch of only 600 bottles in the Goa market marks the brand’s 2-year journey.

Mesma is a gold rum that benefits from maturation in multiple casks. It accentuates flavours of citrus, vanilla, apricot, oak and cocoa to new heights by aging the spirit for a longer duration.

Mesma boasts unmistakable aromas of orange peels, banana, tobacco, molasses and sweet berries on the nose. The rum is a treat best enjoyed neat, on the rocks or with a splash of water. It is available (750-ml bottles at 42.8% ABV) in select Goan stores only, priced at Rs. 3,600.
