Renowned Islay single malt Ardbeg recently launched a series of whiskies exclusive to global travel retail (GTR), the Ardbeg Smoketrails. The collection offers a chance for whisky enthusiasts in India to take their palate on a journey, exploring the influence of different casks from around the world.

Ardbeg Smoketrails Manzanilla edition marries malt matured in classic Ardbeg American oak casks with Manzanilla sherry casks from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, on Spain’s Atlantic coast. The result is a salty sea-spray maritime character, combined with deep and nutty notes mingling with pungent aromas of soot, dark chocolate and Brazil nuts. Clouds of pine and fennel fill the senses with notes of saddle soap and aniseed trailing gently behind.

Ardbeg Smoketrails is available in travel retail outlets at Mumbai International Airport, airport duty-free stores around the world, and the Ardbeg Distillery visitor centre. Available in 1-litre bottles at 46% ABV, it is priced at Rs 7,500.
