The highly anticipated 5th edition of the Brews&Spirits Expo 2024 was successfully held from 4-6 September at the KTPO Convention Centre, Whitefield (Bengaluru). It brought together, once again, industry leaders, innovators and enthusiasts from across the world.
Narayan Manepally, Co-founder & CEO of Geist Brewery; Vivek Gupta, MD & CEO of United Breweries; and Mayukh Hazarika, Founder & CEO of Cherrapunji gin lit the ceremonial lamp to declare open the 3-day event.
The Brews&Spirits Expo 2024 showcased a wide array of innovations and trends within the alcobev industry, with more than 70 exhibitors displaying cutting-edge products and services, marking the largest representation of global participation since the expo’s debut.
There were insightful panel discussions on brands and businesses on:
- From India to the World
- Small Towns/Big Dreams
- Taste of Tradition
- Journey Across India
- Scaling Microbreweries
Apart from technical workshops on brewing by VLB Berlin and IWort, there were engaging master classes on yeast strains influencing whiskey flavours; wheat beer solutions; the essence of Indian wines; and the craft journey of Diageo’s Godawan single malt whiskey.
The experience at the expo was dovetailed with its accompaniment of curated tasting sessions, where visitors and delegates thoroughly relished and explored the unique flavours and profiles, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
Career opportunities and journeys were also a point of focus, in which Olson Pereira, Co-Founder of Indie Brews and Spirits; Ishrat Kaur, Trade Ambassador for Bacardi India; and Vishal Nagpal, Founder of Trippy Goat, shared their experiences.
