Catamaran hits bull’s eye with its ‘Beer Bus’

Catamaran Brewing Co., a micro-brewery in Puducherry, recently ran a ‘Beer Bus’ experiment, transporting 30 beer lovers from Chennai to its restaurant, for a taste of its craft brews and a three-course meal over the weekend.

With all precautions in place, the tour was a hit among like-minded beer enthusiasts. The Managing Director, Durga Prasad, was on board the air-conditioned chartered bus to welcome the travellers and chat up with them.

The bus tour aims to encourage responsible drinking, drive consumer education about craft beers and brewing, and offer a happy place for the family.

To enhance the experience of its guests, Catamaran Brewing offered its exclusive brew of the month, a Mango Cider.

Catamaran’s line-up of craft pours includes Rice Lager, Rice and Shine, Pondy Pils, Indian Summer, Hopsunami, Vox Populi, Chingari Cider and Yuri G, all below 6% ABV.

Being a family joint, it offers special mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages with finger food for teetotallers and children.

Catamaran also won the Best Pale Lager award for its Pondy Pils (Pilsner) at Food and Hospitality Association competition in Singapore recently. There were 136 other beers from across Asia in the fray for the honours.
