Ginglani Distillers has introduced what it calls “India’s first Himalayan whiskey”, Woodsmen Mountain whiskey, bottled in 750 ml at 42.8 ABV. mIt is made with clean Himalayan water sourced close to its Solam (Himachal Pradesh) distillery, and ingredients from its neighbourhood.
Woodmen Mountain whiskey has a deep vibrant gold hue; the nose reveals light floral fragrance peppered with spicy wood; and the palate is well-balanced, smooth and light-bodied. It has fruity notes with hints of oak, vanilla, caramel, and spiced Himalayan malts.
The new whiskey is available in Delhi at ?990, in Chandigarh at ?885, and in Himachal Pradesh at ?1,100.
