Chivas 18 takes Alchemy to a new high (L-R) Designers Rahul Mishra and Manish Malhotra, actress Malaika Arora, jeweller Siddharth Kasliwal and artist Sudarshan Shetty at ‘Chivas 18 Alchemy’.

Launched in 1909, Chivas Regal is the world’s first luxury whisky and is considered to be a timeless classic, renowned for its benchmark quality and taste.

The Chivas Regal range includes Chivas 12, Chivas Extra, Chivas 18, Chivas 25 and Chivas Regal the Icon. Chivas Regal Ultis is the first blended malt Scotch whisky from the House of Chivas.

A recent event in New Delhi explored the senses beyond the seen, heard, tasted or touched. ‘Chivas 18 Alchemy’ evoked the intuitive and intangible with an indefinable melange. Joining hands with five illustrious names from the lifestyle space, the exquisite experience, laced with extravagance, was staged at The Pavilion, DLF Emporio.

Curated by actor Malaika Arora, designers Manish Malhotra and Rahul Mishra, artist Sudarshan Shetty and jeweller Siddharth Kasliwal, the programme explored an unparalleled amalgam of craftsmanship and elegance and was an extra-sensorial experience that covered fantasy, intuition, love, déjà vu and memory.

Malaika created a shifting, immersive, honeycombed kaleidoscopic world of the real and imagined, using the drop, full of 85 notes as the muse. Manish Malhotra dabbed into amber depths to paint a mirage of visions with mirrors and reflections.

Sudarshan Shetty created a mosaic of love, loss, mortality and infinity using voices, ragas, videos and installation art. Deciphering the world of déjà vu Siddharth Kasliwal created a bejewelled masterpiece in a revival of lost legacies.

Deconstructing the maze of memories, Rahul Mishra used tambour frame hoops to create a chandelier of memories in a play of light and shadows that blend layers of time with the ingredients found inside Chivas 18.

Mr Kartik Mohindra, Chief Marketing Officer, Pernod Ricard India said, “Through this collaboration with the five artists, ‘Chivas Alchemy’ has brought alive, sublime interpretations of the sixth sense.”
