A 10-day event united bars across Bengaluru recently, to collectively celebrate versatile cocktails. India Cocktail Week consisted of bar takeovers and a 2-day Cocktail Village festival that wrapped up the drinks gala.
Some of the partnered bars that enjoyed a successful streak included 10 Speakeasy, Gawky Goose, Gatsby, Brassa, Prequel, Bombay Borough, Sanchez, Hopshaus, Smoke House Deli, Socials, 1BHK, Travellers Bungalow, Peepai and Klinx.
The Cocktail Village event at Jayamahal Palace Hotel saw more than 6,000 visitors participate in a remarkable blend of music, international bar takeovers and pop-ups, unique cocktails, and food experiences.
The proof of the popularity of the event lies in the fact that it was attended by renowned influencers, including Rida Tharana, Tanmay Bhat, JordIndian and others, who enthusiastically immersed themselves in the festivities.
The festival featured home-grown and international brands across all spirit and liquor categories, setting up their own bars to showcase their brand identity and stories. The bars served a few signature cocktails along with some exclusive drinks.
Brands such as House of Suntory, Salud, Jameson, Beefeater, Malfy, Monkey 47, Monkey Shoulder, Schweppes, Black and White, OBE Cocktails, Greater Than, Maka Zai, Bombay Sapphire, Absolut, Bacardi, Godawan, Johnnie Walker, Baileys, Smirnoff, Budweiser, Corona and Hoegaarden invigorated people’s senses with flavour and exciting craftsmanship.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Hemang Chandat, Sales Director at Monika Alcobev said, “Today’s consumers are adventurous and on the lookout for novel flavours and experiences. This assists us in developing the best tactics and launching new craft alcohol brands that appeal to consumer preferences.”
The cocktail experience was only amplified by the exciting line-up of live musical performances by popular bands and DJs. The highlights of the weekend included cocktails on tap, an exclusive opportunity for attendees to make their cocktails at Absolut, and a cocktail gelato parlour that comprised of some mouth-watering flavours.
The festival also included merchandise stores and finger-licking food pop-ups by some of Bengaluru’s top restaurants.
