Chandon India, part of the esteemed Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy Group, recently celebrated 10 years of pioneering the luxury sparkling wine category in the country. To commemorate this milestone, Chandon unveiled the limited-edition Chandon Vintage 2015, crafted from the inaugural grape harvested at the Nashik winery.
Meticulously aged over the years, this exclusive blend offers vibrant floral and peachy notes, complemented by zesty freshness and subtle toasty nuances. The Chandon Vintage represents the brand’s decade-long journey in India, showcasing its evolution from the first grape to a benchmark of craftsmanship today.
The Vintage 2015’s complexity comes from extended yeast aging of 8 years, bringing out earthy, pastry and cheese rind notes. Chardonnay adds vibrancy, while Zinfandel contributes richness, making it an extraordinary expression of Chandon’s craftsmanship.
Priced at ₹6,000, this exclusive release is available at Chandon’s Nashik winery and select premium retail partners in Mumbai. Chandon India’s winery, nestled in the foothills of Nashik, is the first large investment made by LVMH in India.
Since its entry into the Indian market in 2014, Chandon has forged a new category in luxury sparkling wines, reshaping a landscape dominated by traditional spirits and rituals. Chandon today enjoys a remarkable 60% market share in its price-relevant segment, achieving 27% annual growth (IWSR 2024).
Today, Chandon has a diverse portfolio including Chandon Brut, Chandon Rose, Chandon Delice and Chandon Aurva. Each showcases a unique aspect of wine making. The portfolio now includes Chandon Delice and Chandon Aurva, a Shiraz-inspired red wine.
Chandon India’s wines have been celebrated and recognized globally with over 40 award wins including prestigious recognition at the Decanter World Wine Awards and the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championship.
Ipsita Das, Managing Director of Moet Hennessy India, said: “We have pioneered in building a new category and have now become the fastest-growing sparkling wine brand. The Chandon Vintage 2015 is handcrafted with only 1,200 individually numbered bottles.”
