Goa-based Naveen Distillery has launched Davana Vermouth Indica, India’s first home-grown vermouth, a blend of natural herbs, spices and wine. The name Davana comes from the Indian name of the primary herb, Artemisia Pallens (wormwood) used in the making of this vermouth.
It is an infusion of curated botanicals with premium quality Indian white wine to give the perfect authentic Indian blend to enhance the overall daily dining experience and perfectly pair with any cuisine. Kerala is the historical place of origin of Davana
Davana Rosso delights with aromas of Davana and rich red berries like cherry and blackcurrant and 23 extracts. Its balanced taste combines bitter-sweet notes and fruity flavours reminiscent of wild berry jam. It has a dense and velvety texture.
Davana Bianco offers a unique fusion of 21 botanicals and the herbal sweetness of Davana. The result is a balanced, aromatic profile with floral, fruity notes and a hint of spice, making it perfect for cocktails or sipping on its own.
It is currently available only in Goa, packaged in 750-ml bottles (15% ABV) and priced at ?1,049 for both Rosso and Bianco.
