Monika Alcobev represents more than 100 global brands and offers a portfolio of more than 200 SKUs across wines, spirits and liqueurs. Its integrated platform spans everything from import and regulatory compliance to national distribution, logistics and on-ground brand activation. This makes it a full-service partner for international brands entering the Indian market.

With operations across 24 states and presence in over 170 cities the company caters to India’s leading hospitality chains, modern retail stores and curated bars, delivering in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Guwahati.

The listing marks a landmark moment not just for the company, but for India’s beverage alcohol sector at large, signalling growing confidence in the potential of premium alcohol brands in the country. Brews&Spirits caught up with its Managing Director, Kunal Patel. Excerpts:

Congratulations on the success in your maiden IPO! How did it go?

Thank you! The IPO was oversubscribed 4.1 times, raising ₹165.63 crore and attracting strong institutional interest. It reflects the confidence in our governance, national presence, and long-term vision.

What made you undertake such a step? What are the signals going out in the market?

The aim was to raise growth capital for expansion. A public listing also brings greater transparency and governance, which strengthens trust with investors, trade partners and international brands.

Going forward, what will be your areas of focus?

While the metros remain strong markets for us, North India is now showing rapid growth and will be a key focus. Through our recent partnership with The Zamora Company, we’ve brought Licor 43, Spain’s highest-selling and the world’s fastest-growing premium liqueur, to India.

Where do you see Monika Alcobev Ltd 5 years from now? What role will it play in the evolution of India’s alcobev scene?

We aim to be the go-to gateway for international brands entering India and bring our consumers #OnlyTheBest wines and spirits. Our vision is to shape the way premium alcobev is experienced across the country.
