ProWine blind tasting challenge: 23 Sept

On 23 September 2025, Enigma at JW Marriott Mumbai, in association with ProWine, the international exhibition brand recognised for advancing wine and spirits across global markets, will host a blind tasting challenge.

The event is open to all brands registered in Maharashtra, and participation is free of cost, creating an accessible platform for established producers as well as new entrants to showcase their work.

The central idea of the challenge is to assess products on their intrinsic merit, without the influence of packaging, labels, or marketing. All entries will be presented anonymously, ensuring that the evaluation is based only on taste and quality.

Blind tastings have been widely acknowledged within the industry as an effective method of fair assessment, and this event brings that approach to a structured stage in Mumbai.

The panel will feature a mix of industry professionals and everyday consumers. This blend is intended to capture perspectives that are both technically informed and reflective of real-world preferences.

For producers, the process will provide clear insights into how their products connect across different palates, what aspects stand out, and what elements may need adjustment.

Rather than functioning solely as a competition, the exercise is designed as a feedback mechanism that helps participants refine their recipes and align more closely with market expectations.
