Radico Khaitan has launched the new Rampur Trigun Indian single malt whiskey in Delhi Duty Free in celebration of India’s 75th Independence Day. The whiskey will roll out exclusively to travel retail outlets globally in the coming months.

Trigun (harmony of three) is first matured in American Bourbon barrels, then transferred to Champagne casks to add a layer of freshness, before being finished in unique Sauternes barrels from Bordeaux.

Tropical fruity notes with hints of apricot, lychee, pear and mango welcome the nose. Crispness from the Champagne cask is followed by layers of zesty citrus notes from the Sauternes wine casks.

On the palate, the initial vanilla notes transform to delicate sweetness, topped with irresistible crispness. The Indian trail lingers with an amazingly long finish.

Bottled (750 ml) at 59% ABV, it retails in Delhi Duty Free at US$ 200. Each bottle is presented in a blue-and-gold drum with a hand-crafted silk pouch.
