Amrut’s latest Two Indies white rum is a trifecta that brings together three rums: jaggery rum with jaggery sourced from India’s sugar city Mandya; Caribbean rums hand-picked from the exotic islands; and sugarcane rum, with cane grown by Amrut in the backyard of the distillery.
The white rum has a golden hue when you hold it against the light. On the nose, it has notes of buttered jaggery, crystalised white sugar, slight syrupiness and fresh-cut cane, complemented by the slightest oak tone. It is a clear sipper and mixer. Bottled at 42.8% ABV in 750 ml, it is currently available in Karnataka at Rs 1,899.
