Solicantus drops anchor in India

Indian wine consultant, educator and businesswoman, Namratha Prashanth’s own wine label, made-in-France Solicantus, was launched in Maharashtra recently. Bottled in 750 ml at 14.5% ABV, it retails for Rs 6,960. The name is a tribute, meaning ‘melody of the soil’.

The wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec (90:5:5), aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. The wine has a charming bouquet of ripe red and black fruits with nuances of spice and notes of refined cedar.

A tapestry of rich and complex flavours engulfs the palate. The fruit, tannins and acidity are beautifully balanced with a vibrant structure rendering a gorgeous mouth feel.

Sonarys, the importer and developer of fine wine in the country (https://sonarys.in/), is the distributor of Solicantus in India. For more information, write to namratha@wine-equation.com.
