Idaaya Himalayan rum takes duty-free route

Amidst the growing renaissance of rum, J&K-based Those Good Distillers has introduced Idaaya premium rum in India, at duty-free shops in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. It will soon be available in India’s premium restaurants and bars.

Idaaya has already received international acclaim by winning a Double Gold at the International SIP Awards 2024, a Silver at the Asian Spirit Master 2024, and a Bronze at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2024.

A selection of 12-YO Latin American rums have been aged in Bourbon casks, blended in a Solera system in Sal wood casks with Indian rum, adding to the depth of flavour and rich aromas.

The deep amber rum reveals notes of jaggery, vanilla and all-spice on the nose On the first sip, it unravels caramel notes, followed by delicious dark chocolate, jaggery, tropical fruits, dried fruits, toasted vanilla and oak.

Idaaya rum is best sipped on its own, on the rocks or garnished with a burnt orange twist. It retails for between ?7,500 and ?11,700 at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru airports.
