Ironhill founder launches Tequila in US

The gifted and well-known trio of Indian actor Rana Daggubati, musician-composer Anirudh Ravichander, and Managing Partner of Ironhill India (brewery) Harsha Vadlamudi have launched their Loca Loka Tequila Blanco and Reposado in the US market.

The name combines the Spanish ‘Loca’ (crazy) and the Sanskrit ‘Loka’ (world).

Loca Loka Tequila is distilled from Jalisco’s 100% pure Highland agave and matured for over 6 years to achieve a perfect balance of sweetness and spice.

Loca Loka Tequila Blanco, which has blends of the rounder fruity flavours of cooked agave, along with the earthier floral flavours of the Highland agaves, retails for US$45.99 (750-ml bottle at 40% ABV).

Loca Loka Tequila Reposado, with a richer aroma, and aged in French and American oak barrels retails for US$54.99 in the same package and spirit proof.

The US has been chosen as the initial launchpad due to its appreciation for craft spirits, growing consumer trends, and a culturally diverse landscape, including a significant Indian diaspora, to drive demographic synergy.

It will be followed by a series of launches around the world, including India, later this year.
