Mumbai-based Aspri Spirits recently launched the award-winning Scottish Leader Original blended Scotch whisky, a bespoke mix of Highland and Speyside malts and Scottish grain, in Karnataka.

Scottish Leader Original is a no-age-statement expression and is sold in more than 60 countries. The whisky is slightly smoky on the nose, with hints of fruits, malt, sherry and sweet oak. It is rich on the palate, with flavours of toffee, caramel and nuts; and has a long finish with a touch of peat.

Aspri Spirits, the importer and distributor of several fine global wine, spirits and beer brands in India, retails the new whisky (750-ml, 40% ABV) at Rs. 2,868 in Bengaluru, Rs. 2,595 in Mumbai, and Rs. 1,740 in Delhi.
