Goa-based John Distilleries Ltd. has put out the 7th edition of its much-anticipated Paul John Christmas Edition 2024. This unpeated Indian single malt, with just 6,600 bottles is a much-sought-after collector’s whiskey.
Matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in Caribbean rum casks, this rare expression is skilfully vatted with malt finished in virgin oak casks. Presented at 46% ABV with no added colours or flavours, it is a testament to the brand’s unrelenting dedication to creating award-winning exquisite whiskey experiences.
From its deep gold hue, this whiskey offers exotic aromas of ripe mango and pineapple, interlaced with sweet vanilla cake. The palate reveals flavours of spice balanced with coconut, candied orange and toasted oak.
The finish is indulgently rich, with notes of fruit tart, salted toffee, and chewy tannins.
