CordorníuRaventós Group of Spain, one of the world’s leading wine-producing companies, has made a welcome entry into India, with near-simultaneous launches in Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi.
Established in the year 1551, the estate-owned vineyards span 3,000 hectares, with wineries located in Spain¬’s Rioja, Priorat, Ribera del Duero, Costers del Segre and Penedés, along with California’s Napa Valley (US) and Argentina’s Mendoza.
CodorniuRaventos today is credited with being the number one premium player in the domestic wine market in Spain and produces the world’s best-selling Cava. The house exports its wines to over 100 countries already. Among its milestones, it counts the production of the first bottle of Cava in 1872.
CordoniuRaventos has kick-started its business in India with VBev, a fast-growing wine and spirits importer, who has introduced the Codorniu Cava, VinaPomal Rioja and Veranza from their portfolio.
The brand will be made available in key travel retail points and in the domestic market with key on-trade and off-trade channels, including star hotels, fine dine restaurants, bars and key retail stores.
In Bengaluru, celebrated Chef-Entrepreneur AbhijitSaha prepared a specially curated culinary experience paired with CodorniuRaventos’ award-winning wines at Caperberry. It was an exquisite four-course dining experience, ending with Saha’s showstopper coconut mousse, a sensorial delight.
In Delhi, Executive Chef AnujWadhwan from Roseate House curated a specially paired menu for the wine dinner.
