Big Banyan Wines recently launched its new cellar door wine collection, Picker’s Hand. Made from the choicest grapes, these wines are a labour of love produced in small batches, available exclusively at Big Banyan Winery, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, and select premium retail outlets.
Each of the limited-edition varietals are packaged in 750-ml bottles at 13% ABV and sell for ?1,500 each.
- Picker’s Hand Cabernet Franc: is a mesmerizing ruby red. It is dominantly fruity with top notes of black fruit and cherries, followed by notes of almonds, cloves, pepper and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full-bodied with moderate tannins to give the wine a sublime character.
- Picker’s Hand Sangiovese: is a fruit-forward, stunning cherry-red indulgence that captures this magic in every sip. It has lush notes of dark cherries, berries, ripe red fruits, with floral and earthy, mineral expressions of the terroir, and smoky hints from the touch of oak. On the palate it is fruity and medium-bodied with medium tannins and easy finish.
- Picker’s Hand Viognier is straw-yellow with a tinge of green. It has a rich floral fragrance laced with notes of peaches and stone fruit. The medium-bodied wine has a lingering balance of acids. The hint of oak enhances the buttery sensations.
Picker’s Hand Grenache: is a tantalizing pomelo pink colour, with fruity notes of berries and melon play with a hint of citrus. Its refreshing flavours of lychees, peaches and strawberries create a clean, crisp, dry finish.
