New brands that are great additions to bars

About a decade ago, only a small percentage of families had a bar at home, and even a smaller percentage of people were experimental in the selection they boasted at the bar.

Today, people are excited to host friends and loved ones at home and flaunt their own collection of premium wines and spirits. It is also because a wide variety of alcohol beverages from around the world are available.

Consumers can now indulge in new liquor types, different distillation processes, new brands, etc. There has never been a better time to experiment for Indian alcobev lovers! Below are five premium brands that are great additions to home bars:

Viva El Ron

The latest entrant in the white rum segment, Viva El Ron from Cuba, is fresh, rich and aromatic, making it a favourite among regulars at popular watering holes.

Inspired by the Cuban Revolution, the brand is perfect for people who are looking for something different. The recipe has been developed over 150 years of activity and uses a special blend of silver ron.

Viva El Ron is perfect for cocktails and beach drinks. Starting from Cuba Libre, people can experiment numerous cocktails with this. Moreover, the taste of this spirit takes you to the memories of the beach with every sip. So, it is definitely going to be the main attraction of any house party.

Lucifer’s Gold

Lucifer’s Gold whiskey is the latest hit in the market, a blend of Scotch and Kentucky Bourbon. A forbidden blend nobody thought would have worked, resulted in a smooth tipple with the fruitiness and spice that we expect from Scotch, balanced with vanilla and charred oak notes from Bourbon.

And its stunning golden-brown colour is as delicious as it is visually appealing. Also called the work of the Devil himself, the blend is a perfect addition to a bar for a whiskey lover, coming all the way from the UK.

Choya Umeshu

Bring the taste of Japan home with Choya fruit liqueur, which is famous for its Umeshu. Choya Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur made from ume fruit.

A perfect balance between ume extract and alcohol is achieved by aging the whole fruit, with the stone still inside. The delicious tang of Umeshu comes from citric acid in the fruit, and the refreshing flavour stimulates the appetite.

Umeshu also contains malic and succinic acids. If someone is planning to have a classy get-together, or just an unwinding session for themselves, Choya is a must-have.

Templeton rye

Templeton Rye is a whiskey based on a prohibition-era recipe. It is distilled and aged in Lawrenceburg, by the land of Indians, utilising a recipe shared with other brands.

It is combined with an alcohol flavouring formulation from Clarendon Flavour Engineers referred to as blenders, which are added to make it taste as close as possible to the original recipe from Prohibition Era and bottled at the distillery in Templeton, Iowa.

A big and spicy rye from the folks at Templeton, the 95% rye mash bill, distilled in Indiana with a lot of flavour, makes it a great sipping whiskey.

Bushmills whiskey

A brand that every whiskey lover must have heard of, Bushmills is one of the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distilleries. It is said that around 1608, the area was granted its license to distill whiskey in Ireland.

Now, over 400 years later, Bushmills is the only Irish distillery still using malted barley in all its whiskeys. If someone has already tried the OG single malt, they can try one of the newer variants introduced by the brand.

Hayman’s gin

One of London’s oldest gins, Hayman’s has four variants that appeal to different palettes. Bursting with vibrant exotic citrus fruits of kumquat, pomelo, Persian lime and mandarin, this naturally made gin offers bright, fresh citrus flavours, creating a deliciously elegant serve.

It also has the remarkable depth and complexity traditionally associated with the London Dry style. Depending on the taste profile, one can choose from their products like Peach and Rose, Old Tom, et al.

Hayman’s gin has chosen to showcase through its range, the traditional distillation approaches and period recipes that are intrinsic to the style.
